Vijay paid a surprise visit to the house of Anitha, the Ariyalur topper who allegedly committed suicide recently as she was unable to get medical seat because of NEET.
The actor, who sat on the floor along with Anitha’s father, assured him of all support. “Vijay told him that he would always be ready to support the family,” sources said.
Already, many Kollywood personalities have offered condolences to Anitha, and recently, a condolence meeting was also organised for her in Chennai, during which director P Ranjith made a fiery argument with filmmaker Ameer.
Superstar Rajinikanth had posted on Twitter: “What has happened to Anitha is extremely unfortunate. My heart goes out to all the pain and agony she would have undergone before taking this drastic step. My condolences to her family.”
Kamal said, “We need to ensure that no student should take such drastic step in the future. This is not the end. We will fight and win. We have to make our argument louder in court.”
