Vikram, who is known for taking pains for the characters he do, is at it again. He will play the lead role in a Rs 300 crore magnum opus titled ‘Mahavir Karna’.
Breaking the news on Instagram, he posted: “A sun rises as the sun sets. Announcing ‘Mahavir Karna’, a hindi magnum opus. ⭐️ing Chiyaan Vikram. Director RS Vimal. Producer United Film Kingdom,New York. #mahavirkarna.”
Later, in a statement, the makers of ‘Mahavir Karna’ confirmed that the film will be made at a whopping budget of 300 crore and the shoot will commence from October 2018.
At present, Vikram is occupied with two Tamil films — ‘Saamy Square’, the sequel to his super hit cop action film ‘Saamy’ and ‘Dhruva Natchathiram’, a slick spy thriller with director Gautham Vasudev Menon.
While his ‘Sketch’ is set to hit the screens for Pongal, buzz is that he would do a movie to be produced by Rajkamal Films, and that it will be directed ny Rajesh M Selva of ‘Thoonga Vanam’ fame.
