Mani Ratnam’s next, a multi-starrer with Simbu, Arvind Swami, Arun Vijay and Vijay Sethupathi playing the lead roles, has been titled ‘Chekka Chivantha Vaanam’.
Says Arun Vijay, who is the surprise entrant, “I am excited to be part of such a huge project. It took me almost 19 years to get Mani Ratnam’s attention. I am excited about my role and look forward to working with such a wonderful cast. We will start shooting soon.”
The bilingual, which is titled ‘Nawab’ in Telugu, will also star Aditi Rao Hydari, Aishwarya Ramesh, Prakash Raj, Thyagarajan, Mansoor Ali Khan and Jaya Sudha in key roles.
Oscar-Grammy winner A R Rahman will score the music for the movie, Santhosh Sivan will be cranking the camera and Sreekar Prasad is in charge for the cuts.
The Lyca Productions-Madras Talkies co-production will begin shooting from today (February 12).
