Nayanthara visits Bhagavathi Amman and Tiruchendhur Murugan temple

Nayanthara strikes a fine balance when it comes to profession, leisure and spirituality. Busy with a string of movies, she recently spent quality time with her rumoured boyfriend, director Vignesh Shivan, and other close friends in the United States

Back in India, she has now offered prayers at two renowned temples- Bhagavathi Amman temple in Kanyakumari and Murugan temple in Tiruchendhur. Vignesh Shivan accompanied her on both occasions and pictures of the actress and the director at the temples have gone viral on the internet.

Remember Nayanthara plays the title role in RJ Balaji directorial ‘Mookuthi Amman’ and she has decided to be on ‘viratham’ and not to consume non-vegetarian dishes till the shoot of the film gets completed. She followed the same when she played Goddess Seetha in the Telugu film ‘Sri Rama Rajyam’ which had Balakrishna in the lead role.

In a recent statement, she lauded the Telangana police department for gunning down the four accused in the rape-murder of a young woman doctor.

“Justice is good when served hot. What has been a cinematic phrase so far has become the reality today. The real heroes – Telangana Police – have proved it with their action. I would call this ‘A RIGHT ACT OF HUMANITY’,” she said.

Nayanthara added: “Every woman of this country can mark this date in the calendar as a day of true justice, it’s all about respecting, showing love and compassion towards all with equality. More than rejoicing over the justice served, it is a moment to enlighten and educate the children, especially boys, at our homes, imparting them the message that men become the hero when they make this planet a safe place for women.”
