Simbu aka STR who stunned many by wearing ‘maala’ to Sabarimala, has successfully completed his pilgrimage to the Lord Ayyappan temple in Kerala.
“All these days, Simbu observed strict rituals and completelly dedicated himself to Lord Ayyappa. Now that he is back in Chennai, he will soon meet director Venkat Prabhu and producer Suresh Kamatchi and would resume the shoot of ‘Maanaadu’ from next month,” sources say.
Recently, STR made a promise to Suresh Kamatchi to complete his portions in the movie in just 40 days. Sources close to the producer said, “We are happy to have STR back on the sets of the movie. We sincerely hope that he would stick to the promise and extend complete cooperation to the movie in the best interest of everyone involved.”
Earlier, Simbu was removed from the project due to his alleged non-cooperation. Later, a meditation meeting was held at Tamil Film Producers Council in which Suresh Kamatchi and Simbu’s mother Usha Rajendhar took part . It is learnt that while Usha maintained that Simbu’s dates had not been utilised effectively by the production house, Suresh Kamatchi accused Simbu of not turning up for the shoot, even after receiving an advance amount of Rs 2 crore.
Finally, thanks to intervention from office-bearers of the council, an amicable solution was arrived at, as per which Usha has promised that her son would regularly attend the shoot and would offer full cooperation in completing the movie.
