Trisha’s much-awaited movie ‘Nayagi’ has hit the screens today. However, what has surprised her fans and others is her lack of interest in promoting the movie. Even as her social media pages are abuzz with its release, the actress chose to maintain silence.
She also clarified the same on her official Twitter handle, in which she posted- “If I am not talking about or promoting my film, there are valid reasons for it. Apologies to my media friends and fans who have been asking me. I will personally make sure it is explained soon. Thank u all for the consistent support and love”.
It may be noted that the film’s Telugu version had released a month ago, and was a box-office failure. This has led to fans speculating that Trisha would have felt it would be better if the film releases without any hype in Tamil.
Directed by Govi, the film is expected to add to the long list of horror comedies that have been ruling Tamil cinema for the last few years. Ganesh Venkatraman, who shared screen space with the ‘Ghilli’ star in ‘Abhiyum Naanum’, is Trisha’s pair in this one too, while Manobala, Kovai Sarala and Jayaprakash form a part of the supporting cast.
