‘Devi(l)’ that was released along with two other biggies, ‘Remo’ and ‘Rekka’ last week, managed to hold its own and achieve success.
According to sources, the film is performing well across all sections of audience, apart from receiving critical acclaim. This has made its director AL Vijay a happy man.
Speaking on the film, he says, “The success has come at a crucial time for me, after two of my earlier films, ‘Idhu Enna Maayam’ and ‘Saivam’ did not do well”.
“Despite having problems in my personal life, I made sure I put all my efforts towards the film, the hard work has hence reflected in the performance”, he adds.
Starring Prabhudeva, Tamannah and Sonu Sood in the lead roles, the film is a tri-lingual, made as ‘Abhinetri’ in Telugu and ‘Tutak Tutak Tutiya’ in Hindi.
